What is Voxer?

Voxer is a free app and works much like WhatsApp.  It’s an amazing coaching tool!  Voice-notes (more walkie-talkie style than WhatsApp) and text messages can be sent, and it allows for both a to-and-fro type of coaching, and a slower more reflective style.

How it works.

Voxer drop-in hours will be held on the last Tuesday of each month between 11.30 - 7.30pm BST. You’ll receive an invite to join the Google calendar, or you can access it here.

When the sessions fall on a UK public holiday, or my personal holiday, the date will be changed and reflected in the YCIA Google calendar.

You’ll have access to 12 Voxer drop-in sessions from the day you sign up, spanning 12 consecutive months.  During the sessions, you’ll be able to connect with me and talk about anything you’re working through in YCIA, how your chronic illness is showing up in your life, reflections you’re having, ways that you’re stuck, etc.

Although the drop-in hours are 11.30 - 7.30 BST on the last Tuesday of every month, you’re welcome to send me a message a few days before the session, I just wont get to it until the session starts.

The nature of a drop-in session means that everyone in the YCIA family will be online and Voxering away.  To that end, I may not get back to your message immediately.

These sessions aren’t compulsory; if you can’t make them, it’s no problem.  That said, if you can make them, I really encourage you to get involved.  They’re fantastic in terms of maintaining momentum and will help you get the most out of the modules, and your YCIA journey as a whole.

How do I start?

You can download the app here or by searching for Voxer in your app store.  My handle is @alanaholloway - go ahead and add me!

I won’t initiate contact on the day, I’ll wait for you to message.

Anything else?

If you’d like to book more time with me for 1:1 Voxer hours, you’re welcome to do so.  Please email me and we can set that up.
